There was plenty of opportunity to make hay this summer, unlike other years where we were dodging the rain. Once again Mike Thorney-Shaw from Ilmington came and cut it, it was virtually made as it fell because of the drought. We took precautions and turned the "Donkey Truck" into a temporary fire engine as there had been several field fires locally in recent months and we didn't want the same to happen here.
