As long as there is a suitable habitat for a creature or plant it will thrive. Many of the actions of mankind have reduced species numbers, not necessarily because they have killed them off, but because they have taken away their habitat. Storm Wildlife looks at the challenges of reversing the damage done and restoring nature in a measured and sustainable way.

Restoring nature by improving habitats is often a short-term project as nature moves into a desired habitat very quickly. Storm Wildlife are keen to support the longer-term projects and invest in land on a 30-year management plan which is protected further by a Section 39 agreement, ensuring the land has time to mature into a haven for wildlife.

By creating and protecting nature, Storm Wildlife is contributing to the reduction of carbon in our atmosphere which is currently at levels high enough for nations around the world to declare a climate emergency. There is unlikely to ever be a man-made machine that extracts carbon out of the atmosphere as efficiently as nature, therefore natural climate solutions are mankind’s only chance of saving the planet. Action needs to be taken now before it is all too late.
